BS Exercise Science

Johnathan, originally from Fredericksburg, VA, moved to Alpharetta, GA in middle school, where he developed a passion for lacrosse, eventually playing at the Division 3 level in college. He attended Misericordia University, earning his undergraduate degree in Sports Management with a Pre-Doctor of Physical Therapy track, which sparked his interest in exercise and physical transformation through team workouts.

After completing his bachelor’s, Johnathan entered Misericordia’s Doctor of Physical Therapy program, gaining hands-on experience in the university’s Pro Bono clinic and a local outpatient facility. During this time, he also worked as a Sports Performance Coach at Athletic Republic, where he trained Division 1 athletes in hockey, lacrosse, and baseball, deepening his knowledge of performance metrics.
Driven by his passion for fitness and data-backed exercise science, Johnathan decided to pursue a different path. He shifted focus from physical therapy to training, working at various gyms across the Metro-Atlanta area. Currently, he is a Master’s student in Exercise Science at Kennesaw State University, where he also serves as a Graduate Assistant Personal Trainer for the Dance Program. Johnathan is committed to staying updated on the latest research in exercise science and its impact on bodily functions.
Outside of his work, Johnathan enjoys video gaming, collecting Star Wars LEGO sets, and has a passion for aquariums.
